Dennis Salvatier AKA Tanoshiboy created a series of LilBFFS and I can't stop starring at them. I love looking at art that makes me happy. He's brought some intense joy into my day by making me think back to my childhood (simpler days) and remember how much fun I would have watching these cartoons he's drawn. 

From Super Heros, Dexters Lab, Ducktales, to some of my favorites shows on Nickleodeon! Ren and Stimpy, Rugrats. He's even featured Babs and Buster Bunny from Tiny Toons and those zany Animaniacs. 

If you exit your house humming to this song, I promise you'll have a chipper start to your day.

Last summer while browsing the Threadless site, I purchased this tee (well the tank top version)

I used to love watching Huey, Dewey and Louie, and Donald Duck in the afternoons on Disney. They were so funny and adorable! It was truly a great animated series, after all let's not forget the fact it is a Emmy winner.
Imagine my excitement when I learned Disney XD was revisiting this series. It's slated to launch in 2017 so get excited!




The series will pretty much have the same story line as before. It will follow around Scrooge McDuck, and his super curious, trouble making grandnephews Huey, Dewey and Louie. Other familiar characters are expected to re-visit the series as well such as Launchpad McQuack, Flintheart Glomgold, and the Beagle Boys.

Are you ready for this crew again?

Adventure time, C'mon, grab your friends, We'll go to very distant Lands...


I have always loved Dr. Martens boots. They're like a go-to item in my closet. Every girl should own a pair of their bulky black boots with the yellow lining... they literally go with everything I swear! Imagine my excitement when I learned about Dr. Martens X Adventure Time! It's like a wish come true I didn't even know I was hoping for yet. 

It's no secret that Adventure Time is one of the coolest main stream cartoons that Cartoon Network has graced us with in the last few years. All the characters are so lovable and special in their own way... you sympathize with them as strange and funny as that sounds.

So I guess you all heard it's 'National Pizza Day'...




Growing up I was obsessed with Pizza (notice how I capitalize the P, this is no mistake) and I still am! Every time my parents would buy a box for the family it was a treat! A good day! A celebration! Basically it meant we were all in a good mood and life wasn't so bad. These days I'm able to afford my own Pizza ha ha... and I buy it whenever The.Hell.I.Want. (muahaha).

Anyway, in honor of 'National Pizza Day' I found the most awesome Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Pizza mash-up on YouTube. You're favorite Pizza loving cartoon characters. They talk about all sorts of Pizza (even Pizza with marshmallows on top). Whoever made this video is awesome, it even references back to which episode the clip is from.


Pizza just makes life better... Isn't that a fact at this point in life?

Recently I binged a little bit on Netflix and watched Ally Mcbeal... what a kooky show right?

Anyway, if you watched the show at any point in your life... you would know Ally was all sorts of crazy/bi-polar (even had visions of the ooga chaka baby) and had a quite interesting therapist. Her thereapist encouraged her to wake up and walk out everyday to the beat of a great uplifting song that would become her theme song.... and I thought THEME SONG YA SAY?  I think I kind of sorta unknowingly do this already.

Theme songs are rad and I often find myself loving theme songs from shows that I watch as well. They're uplifting most times and even if they don't have lyrics the beat is awesome.

Therefore being that it's Monday (womp, womp) The beginning of the week most dread... I am going to provide you with one of my all time favorite motivational theme songs. I don't even think I ever finished watching the series but I sure thought about the song throughout the years. PLUS watching the actual video is just SO EMOTIONAL (some of you know what I'm talking about).

Another man I very much like that has crushed me is Archie Andrews.

I bumped into this video of HBO's Powerpuff GIRLS a few weeks back and found too hilarious and absolutely enthralling. I wanted to share it for those of you who haven't seen it yet.

The video was made by FOX’s Animation Domination High-Def (ADHD) and is a crossover of the hit HBO television series Girls and The Powerpuff Girls cartoon series. See Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup are a bit more grown up and A LOT more bitchy.

You have to know that any Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle panel going down at Comic Con is going to have a HUGE line and be jam packed... I mean why wouldn't it be? Who wouldn't love awesome Turtles who are ninjas and love to devour pizza?

Fans of the Nickelodeons TMNT cartoon rejoiced and anxiously waited for the panelist to talk and show some season 3 teasers. On stage you had executive producer Ciro Neili, head writer Brandon Auman, and voice artists Greg Cipes (Michelangelo), Rob Paulsen (Donatello), Seth Green (the new Leonardo), and Eric Bauza (Tiger Claw).

Some teasers and news I found interesting was the return of Renet, an old character from the comics who's going to be voiced by Ashley Johnson. The producers also promised more female characters coming soon! (girl power y'all).

The news I found to be the coolest, being someone who grew up on the old cartoons was *drum rolls please* WAIT FOR IT... The return of the iconic Behop and Rocksteady! How freaken awesome is that! Remember these guys?

I'm not in New York right now which makes me weep with tears of utter sadness because I  love going to Comic Con every year! Though I don't enjoy the frequent panic attacks... ya know,  ridiculous lines and insanely over crowded spaces... sound familiar? It's worth that panic attack to me though, let's call it a "passion" thing. 

I enjoy writing about New York Comic Con, cosplaying, visiting booths and attending panels... All that good stuff. The whole ambiance of the convention has a certain magic to it. Fortunately for me, I was able to get some passes for a few awesome people to cover for my sites. One of those people has been a supporter of many of my projects and pretty much the main photographer behind my style site, my brother Daniel Mejia. Read about his first day at the convention and his stroll around The Block. 

New York Comic Con Day 1: The Block.

I don't have the words to explain what the line was like to get in. It wasn't even that the line took that long, but the line went across a couple of streets and then to my surprise turned the corner up to whatever the next avenue was (maybe 12th avenue) AND THEN TURNED ANOTHER CORNER, we were at what I can only describe as the back of the Javits Center. 

Being the amazing human being that I am, while on line I alerted the man in front of me that his metro-card was about to fall out of his pocket. He was dressed up (cosplaying) in his Joker costume and if the Joker couldn't properly commute through Gotham, you know there would be trouble.


Okay, got inside at around the 2200's aisle and had to walk all the way to booth 101, the Toy Tokyo booth to pick up the 'Botan Rice Candy' Astro Boy Hikari figure. Toy Tokyo was split up into 2 lines, one where it was just their regular everyday stuff, and the other where it was for their exclusive stuff. 

The Regular line was in and out really quick from what I saw. THE EXCLUSIVES LINE HAD ME ON A LINE FOR ALMOST 3 HOURS, meaning that I missed out on 2-3 panels that I would've gone to. This beat me into submission and I was no longer interested in going to any panels (even though sitting would have been a welcome diversion after such a line). So I finally get to the front of the line and they try to screw me out of getting the Astro Boy figure (because the man in control of the line or handing out tickets for items was confusing the hell out of everybody). Thankfully the lady in front of me was after the same item and was gonna get screwed too; BUT SHE WAS PREGNANT AND SHOWING, and you don't mess with a pregnant lady. Me, the pregnant lady, and the pretty asian cashier lady fought the evil-doers in the back with the stock and we won. Thank you lord, I got my Astro Boy.

Shortly after that I went over to the myplasticheart booth to pick up the Catchaman Minicel: Swallow Jinpei piece produced by Kuso Vinyl (pictured above with Astro Boy figure).

At this point, I figured that I might as well dedicate the rest of my day here to The Block and even then I only hit up very little of it (more content on that to be shared in 'Day 1 Part 2' post). A couple more photos till then:

We all have cute, adorable and rather embarrassing things we all did as young children don't we? I personally remember many times dancing in my living room at a mere 3 years of age in my underwear, a tank top and what seemed to be red lumberjack shiny ass boots ALL THE TIME. The boots were so random it baffles me... I would always wear them with just underwear. There were also times at a mere 3-4 years of age when I was enjoying my first sips of beer... Daddy needed to make sure I grew up with a strong tolerance GOSH #DontJudge he's just a tad bit protective.

Anyway, I love watching Adventure Time but unfortunately, I watch random episodes or whatever is On Demand due to a busy schedule. My brother brought this video to me attention and I loved it!!! Not only did I find the whole episode and watch it but I found the dopest dubstep remix on YouTube that's better than a lot of the shit I hear at clubs, ha!

Puncha Yo Buns is Finns baby song that he's singing infront of a mirror in the bathroom If you say you've never done this you're a fucking liar. Too cute! The dance kills me every time.
