Monday Music: Doug Cartoon.

12:04:00 PM
Who Didn't Used To Have This Catchy Little Tune In Their Head?

Du-du-du-du-du-du-du

I LOVE the Doug theme song. It's so damn catchy. It's one of those songs that when you heard it, it got you hype for the show to start. Waking up and turning on Nickelodeon, which was channel 6 for me at the time was a real treat. I miss those day and the cartoon lineup they used to have *tears* They don't make 'em like they used to.

Doug was part of the original three Nicktoons, premiering simultaneously on August 11, 1991 along with Rugrats and The Ren & Stimpy Show.

Watch Doug swoon over Patty was a bit painful but delightfully charming too. He used to always day dream the funniest things.

Anyways, enjoy the theme song below. Happy Monday!

Marvel x Hip Hop Variant Covers.

2:46:00 PM
Marvel Loves Hip Hop...

What do you guys think of these Marvel Hip Hop variant covers? Pretty rad right?

Below enjoy seeing some of your favorite hero and heroines paying homage to some sick hip hop albums. From Biggie, Wu-Tang Clan, Dr. Dre, Eric B. and Rakim to Lauryn Hill and more to come.

If you keep an eye out for all-new #1's from Marvel Comics coming this fall, you may get the chance to purchase your own Marvel Comics variant cover featuring some of your favorite Marvel characters paying homage to some of the dopest artist from the past few years. Some are no longer with us such as Biggie and ODB, but their music lives on in our hearts and memories...  now with a little help from Marvel too.

"For years, Marvel Comics and Hip-Hop culture have been engaged in an ongoing dialog," says Marvel Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso.  "Beginning this October, we will shine a spotlight on the seamless relationship between those two unique forces in when we unveil the first of more than fifty variant covers, each of which pays tribute to an iconic album cover from the past 30 years that shaped pop-culture over the past three decades."

I'm super excited to see more covers, though I must confess... I'm a little disappointed not to see Tupac in these sneak peeks :(

Monday Theme Song: Inspector Gadget Animated Series.

12:22:00 AM
If you exit your house humming to this song, I promise you'll have a chipper start to your day.

Show: Inspector Gadget Animated Series (1983–1986)

We all know Inspector Gadget is a clumsy police inspector that can pull a million random things out of his hats (he's seems to be half cyborg) and goes around solving mysteries. His niece Penny and dog Brain secretly do the real investigative work... I don't think Mr. Gadget was too bright...

There's nothing lyrically significant about this theme songs like others I've featured, but it's very catchy. The song was originally written by Haim Saban and Shuki Levy for the original cartoon series.

Go! Go! Gadget and watch out for Dr. Claw.
