Who Doesn't Love A Horror Classic?

I used to love fighting video games... I still do really. I don't have much time to play them anymore because of moving around and not having the game console at the moment. However, I still get really excited when I see things like THIS.

I think perhaps if I were to name my top 3 killers from classic horror movies that used to scare the shit out of me when I was a little girl it would be in the order of...

1)Freddy Krueger

2)Michael Myers

3)Jason Voorhees

3 isn't a terrible place to be... it's like bronze right? Anyway, to be frank... 2 and 3 are pretty much 50/50. I think Michael Myers got bumped up about one percent because I really enjoyed the first Rob Zombie remake for 'Halloween' (2007)... the second one... ehhhhh...(Love you Rob!).

My friend Dane knows about my love for these killers and shared this Mortal Kombat X: Jason Voorhees Reveal on my Facebook wall. Looks pretty sick right? Get ready to see bodies drop at Camp Crystal Lake. Video game x Horror Movie fans rejoice! I can tell this is going to be a goodie.

Perfect Valentine's Gift for Him: Man Crates (Gamer Geek).

Valentines day is right around the corner and I have the perfect gift suggestion for your loved one, it's Man Crates.

So I know what you're thinking, what the hell is a Man Crate? Well it's kind of exactly what it sounds like. It's an awesome wooden crate that gets delivered to you with a crowbar. Let's stop for a second and think about how rad it is to open a wooden crate with a crowbar. An experience in itself. Inside it's full of awesome gifts. When I was younger my dad used to wake me and my brother up at random times of the night to play Super Mario Brother on Nintendo. I forget exactly how he learned to pay (my brother might have taught him) but he became absolutely obsessed. It was the most random thing because he never really played video games at all and then one day he just went nuts. He was obsessed with beating the game before my brother because he was "The Best". It was hilarious how much pride he took in all of it. These games often create beautiful memories and tons of bonding time if you play together.

Video games in general bring up nice positive memories. Whether it be you remembering times you met up at a friends house to play after school or just you lounging in your bedroom playing your favorite music (which you used as a motivation soundtrack surely) and blasting it while you conquered your mission in whichever game you were playing.

Video games also remind us all of simpler times.. Thinking back on when I used to play games on Nintendo, Sega Saturn, Sega Genesis, Nintendo 64, Playstation, etc. I would lose myself in these games without having to check my phone a million times (because there was no social media!)

Video games are a gift of LOVE ha, ha its true!

Yesterday my brother texted me THIS and I got pretty excited.

Many of you may have seen Flophouse at comic coventions with their awesome tees and pancake pillows, but their website wasn't available. Alas the day has come! Check out http://flophouse.com.

I love their whole mission and how they try to take you back to those special childhood moments we all miss and wish we could revisit.

- THE WHY? -

When we set out on this journey to start our new little company, many thoughts raced through my mind as to why we wanted to do this. Do what you love and the money will follow!…….Do more of what makes you happy!……..Do what your heart tells you to do!……Just do it!……….Relax don’t do it!?………….I was so confused!!!&@^#%

In the end I figured, let’s just make stuff we love and figure out the rest later. Worst case, we got plenty of nifty shirts we can wear ourselves and pancake pillows we can give out to friends and family as Christmas presents over the next 100 years or so.

We try to create more of a “feeling” than just another t-shirt or plush item – we want to stir childhood memories and fun times. Enjoy life here and now, and try not to take things so seriously – unless of course you spent your life savings on t-shirts and pancake pillows (just kidding). So to answer the question as to the Why? Flophouse, fun stuff we wanted for ourselves! Hope you like it too.
