Throwback - Batgirl Cosplay At Comic Con.

1:45:00 PM
I was taking a look back at this Batgirl cosplay I did back when I had my flaming red hair...

It was about 2 years ago I'd say at New York Comic Con. Definitely wasn't my best cosplay but I didn't really have much time to put anything great together. I strolled into Hot Topic and picked up a Batman corset and underwear. Then later on in the day I proceeded to go into Walgreens where they had a batman cape and mask set for 9.99. I figured it was better than nothing and I was dying to dress up.

Here you have it!

I guess I was channeling good ol' Barbara Gordon from the Batman animated series from 1992.

New York Comic Con Cosplay Throwback: The White Queen

5:31:00 PM
I really like Emma Frost "White Queen". In every movie, comic, or cartoon I've seen her in she looks beautiful and elegant. She appears sweet but you can't let that fool you... this lady can get evil quick and can totally mind fuck you (maybe literally even).

Anyway, I first saw her in Marvel's X-Men cartoons on Saturday mornings and have been a fan ever since. In 2011 I thought she'd make a pretty hot cosplay costume for one of the days I was attending New York Comic Con.

I didn't want to buy a White Queen costume from a store so I put this one together by imitating a photo. It was pretty simple really, I purchased white shorts, a white corset, white thigh highs, a white garter belt, white shoes, and I visited a fabric store and purchased white imitation fur and fabric (my best friend sewed the cape for me) I was pretty pleased with the result, I had a lot of fun too.

The White Queen Cosplay was a hit a the convention and also received a bit of love online.

Bebop and Rocksteady Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Season 3 debut at New York Comic Con 2014.

11:10:00 PM
You have to know that any Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle panel going down at Comic Con is going to have a HUGE line and be jam packed... I mean why wouldn't it be? Who wouldn't love awesome Turtles who are ninjas and love to devour pizza?

Fans of the Nickelodeons TMNT cartoon rejoiced and anxiously waited for the panelist to talk and show some season 3 teasers. On stage you had executive producer Ciro Neili, head writer Brandon Auman, and voice artists Greg Cipes (Michelangelo), Rob Paulsen (Donatello), Seth Green (the new Leonardo), and Eric Bauza (Tiger Claw).

Some teasers and news I found interesting was the return of Renet, an old character from the comics who's going to be voiced by Ashley Johnson. The producers also promised more female characters coming soon! (girl power y'all).

The news I found to be the coolest, being someone who grew up on the old cartoons was *drum rolls please* WAIT FOR IT... The return of the iconic Behop and Rocksteady! How freaken awesome is that! Remember these guys?

Some of you who have only watch the Nickelodeon cartoon may not be familiar with these guys but they first made their debut in the 1987 TV Series.

For those of you not familiar with their history head over HERE and find out all about how The Shredder mutated members of a street gang, so that they would be stronger than the turtles and have better abilities to beat them. Bebop and Rocksteady volunteered but things didn't necessarily go as planned.

Below watch a clip of Bebop and Rocksteady's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Season 3 debut played at the New York Comic Con TMNT 2014 panel. It was a wise choice of Nickelodeon to bring them back in my opinion, makes the hardcore fans happy.

A shout-out and thanks to Daniel Mejia for providing us with the clip!

New York Comic Con 2014 Cosplay: Part 1.

2:55:00 AM
Cosplayers do such a GOOD job! I've cosplayed many times myself and every year I try to out-do the previous. Some people that cosplay can basically consider themselves part-time actors. The way they pose, battle with other cosplayers and the dedication behind what they do throughout the convention is fascinating.

Mr Daniel Mejia got behind his lens for PGTN to shoot some of the amazing cosplayers in their essence. From Poké Balls, Batman battles, The Joker, A blinged out Ms. Captain America

Squirtle, I choose you!

Wonder Women. You're welcome DCcomics.
