The NECA Toys 'Home Alone' Mystery at Toy Fair 2015.

12:02:00 AM
Guys, you're totally teasing me here!

Seeing this wall empty had us all like

Where are the NECA toys Home Alone sculpts? We're all curious. I read a few lucky fans got a sneak peek. I mean, you could have at least left a little accessory laying around :(

NECA says fans who got a sneak peek were blown away by the portraits and the A++ accessories too. Everything sounds so promising and there's a lot of excitement and chit-chat on the interwebs about this... After all, Home Alone is an absolute classic and an insanely loved holiday movie. I don't think I know one single person who doesn't watch Home Alone during the holidays. We all adore Kevin (Macaulay Culkin) and the McCallister Clan. We even enjoy watching Harry Lime (Joe Pesci) and Marv Merchants (Daniel Stern)

NECA tweeted that they're releasing the figures this holiday for the Home Alone 25th anniversary.

Can't wait to see! Hopefully I'll have more updates soon.

Friday The 13th 2015!

10:47:00 PM
It's Friday The 13th Bwahahah...

Every time I hear Friday The 13th, I can't help but think Jason Voorhees. I've always loved horror movies even since I was a young little Nubia and Friday The 13th was one of my top 5 favorites. To begin the celebration of this day considered both good and bad luck, here's some cool art from the Friday the 13th six-issue comic book miniseries (2006). The comic was written by Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray, illustrated by Adam Archer and Peter Guzman and published by WildStorm. All the cover art below is by the talented Ryan Sook.

Perfect Valentine's Gift for Him: Man Crates (Gamer Geek).

10:15:00 PM
Valentines day is right around the corner and I have the perfect gift suggestion for your loved one, it's Man Crates

So I know what you're thinking, what the hell is a Man Crate? Well it's kind of exactly what it sounds like. It's an awesome wooden crate that gets delivered to you with a crowbar. Let's stop for a second and think about how rad it is to open a wooden crate with a crowbar. An experience in itself. Inside it's full of awesome gifts. There's different crate options and they all come with amazing items inside that your friend or boy toy will definitely be excited about.

For the day of LOVE, Valentines day, I have a particular crate in mind... The Retro Gamer Crate! A gamer geeks dream.

Something about men and video games creates a beautiful nostalgia...

When I was younger my dad used to wake me and my brother up at random times of the night to play Super Mario Brother on Nintendo. I forget exactly how he learned to pay (my brother might have taught him) but he became absolutely obsessed. It was the most random thing because he never really played video games at all and then one day he just went nuts. He was obsessed with beating the game before my brother because he was "The Best". It was hilarious how much pride he took in all of it. These games often create beautiful memories and tons of bonding time if you play together.

Video games in general bring up nice positive memories. Whether it be you remembering times you met up at a friends house to play after school or just you lounging in your bedroom playing your favorite music (which you used as a motivation soundtrack surely) and blasting it while you conquered your mission in whichever game you were playing.

Video games also remind us all of simpler times.. Thinking back on when I used to play games on Nintendo, Sega Saturn, Sega Genesis, Nintendo 64, Playstation, etc. I would lose myself in these games without having to check my phone a million times (because there was no social media!)

Video games are a gift of LOVE ha, ha its true!

Therefore the Retro Gamer Man Crate makes a kick-ass Valentines Day Gift! I would give it to a boyfriend, A friend, a brother... ALSO, don't let the name fool you! I would totally give this to a bunch of my geek girl friends... They'd die over this.

The Retro Gamer Man Crate Includes:

Makeshift Time Machine

  • Retro-Bit NES Console
  • 2 classic Nintendo games
  • (randomly selected from an assortment of time-honored, awesome games)

Sugar Intoxication

  • Red Vines
  • Bottle Caps
  • Mike & Ike
  • Nerds
  • Now and Later
  • Jaw Busters
  • Pop Rocks
  • Pez

Delivered

In a sealed wooden crate with a laser-etched crowbar. No bow, no ribbons, no fluff, and absolutely no instructions.

Pretty sweet deal for $99.99 right? I surely think so. Look at all that candy! What's not to love.

Take your loved one back to a time before social media, before online streaming, before so much non-stop, hectic, technology coming out the woodwork... A time when it was him opening up a video game console with an awesome game and for just a moment... nothing else really mattered... THE ULTIMATE GIFT.

Happy Early Valentines Day Everyone, Cheers!

National Pizza Day: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Homage.

12:58:00 PM
So I guess you all heard it's 'National Pizza Day'...

Growing up I was obsessed with Pizza (notice how I capitalize the P, this is no mistake) and I still am! Every time my parents would buy a box for the family it was a treat! A good day! A celebration! Basically it meant we were all in a good mood and life wasn't so bad. These days I'm able to afford my own Pizza ha ha... and I buy it whenever The.Hell.I.Want. (muahaha).

Anyway, in honor of 'National Pizza Day' I found the most awesome Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Pizza mash-up on YouTube. You're favorite Pizza loving cartoon characters. They talk about all sorts of Pizza (even Pizza with marshmallows on top). Whoever made this video is awesome, it even references back to which episode the clip is from.

Pizza just makes life better... Isn't that a fact at this point in life?

Jimmy Fallon "Saved By The Bell" Reunion.

12:37:00 PM
Last night Jimmy Fallon had me in a complete throwback trance. He went to Bayside High School with  these very familiar kids: Zack Morris, Kelly Kapowski, AC Slater and Jessie Spano. It was so good!

I was really impressed at how hair and makeup made everyone look. Not to mention I think most of the cast that was on the Jimmy Fallon's late night skit aged very well.

Anyway, get prepared for Zack Morris's wit and gift of gab and a lot of references to classic episodes.  Find out how Jimmy Fallon is incorporated into Bayside High.

TGI-Fridays with Full House.

2:34:00 PM
Man, those Friday TV line-ups back in the day sure used to be fun to watch...

Who doesn't miss the Tanners? Michelle, DJ, Stephanie, Danny, Uncle Jesse, Joey, even ol' Kimmy Gibbler. Anyway, on behalf of myself and a bunch of Full House gifs... Have a nice, fun, fat weekend. Dance your ass off a little bit too while you're at it couch potato (at least in between commercials).
