Awesome Comic Sunglasses “Sun-Staches”.

10:10:00 PM
Maybe They're Not For Everyday But They're Hella Cool.

 (Harley Quinn)

I read about these "Sun-Staches" on CBR and couldn't help but agree, I'm not sure why the name? haha. They have nothing to do with mustaches which is where my mind immediately wanders with the name. These sunglasses look like they're mainly for style and stunting around which makes me wonder how effective they actually are at blocking the sun.

Anyways, these DC Comics Themed Sunglasses are pretty rad. I'd rock a pair regardless. They're exaggerated and the ideal product for any nerdy/geeky fashionista. The only ones I can really see being worn on the regular perhaps are the Catwoman pair. The rest would be cool for cosplay purposes at Comic Cons or Gamer conventions.

(Batman)

(The Joker)

 (Catwoman)

You can head over HERE and pre-order a pair which are estimated to be released this August 2015 for a very cool $9.99 right now.

Funko Vinyl Vixens At Toy Fair 2015.

11:25:00 PM
How pretty are these ladies?

Funko Toys has revealed more from it's Vinyl Vixen collection with Vinyl Sugar. We now have the frisky Catwoman and Poison Ivy. For anyone interested, The Harley Quinn Vinyl Vixen was available at Hot Topic (for $29.50) as a pre-exclusive but unfortunately it seems to be out of stock, womp, womp!

I'm always crushing on the ladies of DC Comics. I'm usually a sucker for Harley Quinn but my favorite out of these figures is Poison Ivy. Her eyes are seductive and I love the special touch the rose in her hand adds to the figure. I'm smitten with the pin-up flair these bad girls have.

The Poison Ivy and Catwoman Vinyl Vixen Figures will be released in March.

Which one of these gorgeous gals is your favorite?

Funko and Vinyl Sugar Announce New “Dorbz” Line at New York Toy Fair!

1:58:00 AM
Just a quick post to tell you Funko x Vinyl Sugar "Dorbz" is the cutest thing ever!

Since I am a social media manager and a girly girl who constantly creates words, I'm going to assume “Dorbz” is short for “Adorbs” which is short for "Adorable" (takes deep breath).  The collection features licensed characters from the DC and Marvel universes in their old school get-ups. I can't wait to get my hand on some of these. I think one of my favorite details is the eyes... It makes them look like they're smiling or giggling.

Which one of these is you favorite?

Throwback to Sacha Goldberger 'Super Flemish'.

12:46:00 PM
Ok so I know this isn't really a "Throwback" (Dr. Evil Fingers) but I just started this blog recently and was looking for any excuse to feature French Photographers Sacha Goldberger's 'Super Flemish' series.

Goldberger took some fictitious pop culture icons such as superheros, fairytale characters and animals then photographed them as 16th century Flemish-style paintings. They wore their traditional outfits but with old-fashioned twists like ruffled collars and shirts with puffy sleeves. Over 100 people worked on the photos from this series, including 60 models, five costume designers and two digital editors.

Below be prepared to see some of your favorites, Iron Man, Wonder Woman, Batman, Snow White, Darth Vader, The Hulk, Spiderman and more.

Awesome Cosplay from New York Comic Con 2014: Part 2

1:50:00 PM
New York Comic Con 2014 came and went in the blink of an eye. It's funny because I remember all the times I went to Comic Con it seemed so long because of all the preparation before hand. See, I always cosplay. I usually dress up 3 out of 4 days minimum. All the makeup, hair, props, making sure things aren't going to fall apart on me etc. It takes a lot of work. This isn't Halloween folks, It's New York Freaken Comic Con! A lot of thought goes behind these costumes. These cosplayers are more than just dressed up, they're actors.

The only New York Comic Con I didn't dress up for was my very first one. I was about 17.... after that I was hooked. I remember going down the aisles at 17 (A young and cute little Nubia) looking at all the booths and enjoying the art of creativity left and right thinking WOW, this is awesome. The cosplayers were a plus back in the day. It's was a magical little moment and the vibe back then was just SO COOL. Comic Con wasn't as packed and popular as it is now so it felt even more special. Don't get me wrong, things are still awesome now but a lot has changed in 10 years, A LOT.

Anyway moving on, our awesome friend and photographer Theresa Taylor went behind her lens to show us some of the great costumes people cooked up this year. Enjoy!
