I Love My Funko Gene Simmons Hello Kitty!

12:05:00 PM
This bad boy is just so cute to pose with...

I purchased my Funko Hello Kitty/Kiss - Demon Vinyl Figure a few years back at New York Comic Con and I find myself always randomly posing with it. It's such a fun figure. I was instantly attracted to the Gene Simmons inspired Hello Kitty because of the bad ass rocker he is and I've always loved the tongue. KISS is a epic rock band as I'm sure many of you know.

Do you have a current Funko Pop Vinyl Figure you're crushing on?

Have You Ever Lost Your Toys/Action Figures?

3:36:00 PM
Oh Sweet Memories...

We may go mad! Want to cry and die a little inside right? Need therapy... who knows.

Have you ever wondered WTF happened to all of your awesome childhood toys/action figures? I have... sometimes. I was having this conversation with my brother the other day... He's a pretty funny guy and also an action figure/awesome pop culture poster enthusiast.

I remember I donated A LOT of plush animals once to charity. I regret it sometimes because of sentimental value and because I had a whole Toy Story sort of thing going on (long story) but plushed animals take up a shit load of space! I just couldn't deal anymore. Also theres the thought of them going to kids who need them which makes me feel like I did something good, so that's okay. I do however have a bunch of little action figures missing that I don't remember donating: Madonna and Dick Tracy, Princess Peach from Mario, Retro Barbie Figures, Topcat, and much more. I'm going to assume the parentals through them out or gave them away...

Has this ever happened to you? Have you ever tried to hunt them down and get them back in your life? Have you ever flipped the fuck out when you realize you probably purchased them for 1-10 dollars and now they can be up to 60-300 dollars on eBay on at toy stores? WTFFFFFFF. Luckily some have remained at about the same price but A LOT of sky rocketed.

Here are some of my brothers that went missing:

Roton MOTU Heman 1980's toy Original Vintage lot Vehicle 1984

MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE 1984 ROAD RIPPER VEHICLE W/ STRIP MOTU HE-MAN MATTEL

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Vintage 1990 FUGITOID Figure TMNT

As for me... I couldn't find much of my stuff online but I remember...

Vintage Disney Applause Dick Tracy and Breathless Madonna PVC Figures

Retro Barbie Toys from Mc Donalds

Retro Looney Tunes Figures - Shell Gas - 1990

It's sad stuff I tell ya! I would loved to have some of the retro figures I remember owning nicely displayed on a book-shelf (sigh).

So here's what I have to say to the parents of small children right now...

Save some of their shit! You know, some cool toys or action figures you think will mean something someday... pay attention. They don't know any better... and one day they'll thank you. Perhaps pick your top 10 favorite toys or more if you have the space. No excuses!

Take Your Action Figure To Work Day!

9:46:00 PM
Tomorrow, or in some places today March 6, 2015 is Take Your Action Figure To Work Day!

Hell yeah! It's about time more people incorporate a bit of fun and entertainment into the work place. If you want to participate via social media you can check out the official 'Take Your Action Figure To Work Day' website HERE and learn all about how this magical day came to life.

If you just want to see the rules and hashtags real quick, here they are straight from the site:

'Do you have an action figure? Do you have a camera? Do you have a social media account? If the answer is yes, than you have all you need to participate! Take your action figure to work on the first Friday in March and post pictures of him/her/it with you, with your coworkers, with a client or with your boss (well, maybe not your boss). Get creative! Who doesn’t want to see Wolverine pulling double duty as a paper shredder? In 2014 some people even story boarded a day in the life of their action figure, for the time they woke up, to the end of the day. Even Cheetah and Wonder Woman put aside their differences at the end of the day to go camping together.'
You’re only limited by your own creativity. Post away! Be sure you include the Official #AFWDYYYY (example: #AFWD2015, #AFWD2016, etc…) so we can all see the amazing things you do to make this as nerdy as possible.'

There you have it kiddies. Now go to your office and let Batman do all of your office work for you! Perhaps Wolverine shall pour you a cup of coffee? Maybe a LEGO figure will go tell off your boss or something... those little guys are fiesty.

Las Vegas Super Toy Con 2105 Day 1.

12:51:00 PM
This past weekend I attended Las Vegas Super Toy Con...

I didn't know what to expect really. I'm still fairly new to Las Vegas and moving from New York to Nevada has been a pretty huge change for me. I must say I was pretty pleasantly surprised. The venue was nicely filled with people walking around but not so full that I couldn't breathe (like some Comic Con conventions).  Toy collectors, aspiring collectors and lovers eagerly bounced around from booth to booth shopping, conversing, laughing, getting to know each other... it was a beautiful thing. I myself am not a collector (yet) but I like to own nice things so I always shop... I have a weakness for Funko Vinyl Figures (those big headed, creepy looking lil things, love em.

There was also special guest appearances by Tom Zahorsky of Tomica Toys, WWE's Ric Flair (Woo!), Mattel Barbie Designer Linda Kyaw, Mattel WWE Designer Bill Miekina, Garbage Pail Kids Designer Joe Simko, Hot Wheels Designer Larry Wood and MORE

Below are some random photos I shot of cool things I liked at the convention. Enjoy!

Who doesn't enjoy seeing the good ol' Delorean from 'Back To The Future".

The awesome Bubble Ray!

To The Bat Mobile! Of the 1960s that is. A true beauty.

Cereal Killers! Love these boxes and stickers that combine our favorite monsters and cereal characters into 1. You can check these guys out at SweetRot.com and Wax Eye

Below is some great collectables from the beloved Toy Shack booth. The store is located right in the heart of Fremont Downtown Vegas.

I was admiring these Batgirl and Poison Ivy Barbie dolls... kept in pretty great condition may I add.

Wizard of Oz

Gamers!

Star Wars freaks feast your eyes on these pieces of heaven on earth right here.

Here's a quick peek of some classic stuff and that I found at Rogue Toys

Who doesn't love LEGO's? These next few photos are from a vendors who sells on ebay mainly. I misplaced the card unfortunately but you can probably check out Super Toy Con for more info.

8 bit love.

Chewie!

Sick Captain America.

Love this Joker.

Classic LIFE Batman cover.

More Legos.

DC Villains and more at the Kimzar Kollectables booth.

I had a pretty rad time and will be adding more updates in a bit. I would attend the convention again personally and suggest other check it out too if you like to collect toys/action figures and want to mingle with some pretty cool people. I think the convention has great growth potential so I'm excited to keep up with it, Cheers!

Mezco Toyz at Toy Fair 2015.

12:25:00 AM
Taking A Stroll Through Mezco Toyz...

Seeing awesome figures from two of my favorite shows next to each other seems like a sweet way to start this post. Here we have Breaking Bad and a little peek of Sons Of Anarchy.

The boyz over at Mezco Toyz are also hoping to release Tygra in October of this year! Thundercat fans rejoice! It's what you've all been waiting for.

 Isn't he a beaut?

What's Up Doc? How rad is this Bugs Bunny? Many people had heard about a Mezco Toyz deal with Warner Bros and now you have a sneak peek.

This Annabelle figure is creepy as hell... nice detail and all... moving on.

This was one of my favorites. I love a good classic and this Chucky doll is giving me life. The yellow box gives me nostalgia over the actual "Good Guy" doll box seen in the horror films.

All hail Chucky! and Charles Lee Ray too.

Living Dead Dolls are all about Creature from the Black Lagoon. You can pre-order this bad boy HERE.

Another very sweet treat is that Mezco presented The Living Dead Dolls Series 29: The Nameless Ones. The kind of dolls that will haunt your dreams and come to life on your shelves just how we like them! These dolls will be available May 2015 and are definitely on the wish list.  You can pre-order HERE.

If you had to pick just one of the figures above, which would it be?
