I Love My Funko Gene Simmons Hello Kitty!

This bad boy is just so cute to pose with...

I purchased my Funko Hello Kitty/Kiss - Demon Vinyl Figure a few years back at New York Comic Con and I find myself always randomly posing with it. It's such a fun figure. I was instantly attracted to the Gene Simmons inspired Hello Kitty because of the bad ass rocker he is and I've always loved the tongue. KISS is a epic rock band as I'm sure many of you know.

Las Vegas Super Toy Con 2105 Day 1.

This past weekend I attended Las Vegas Super Toy Con...

I didn't know what to expect really. I'm still fairly new to Las Vegas and moving from New York to Nevada has been a pretty huge change for me. I must say I was pretty pleasantly surprised.The venue was nicely filled with people walking around but not so full that I couldn't breathe (~~like some Comic Con conventions~~). Toy collectors, aspiring collectors and lovers eagerly bounced around from booth to booth shopping, conversing, laughing, getting to know each other... it was a beautiful thing. I myself am not a collector (yet) but I like to own nice things so I always shop... I have a weakness for Funko Vinyl Figures (those big headed, creepy looking lil things, love em.)

There was also special guest appearances by Tom Zahorsky of Tomica Toys, WWE's Ric Flair (Woo!), Mattel Barbie Designer Linda Kyaw, Mattel WWE Designer Bill Miekina, Garbage Pail Kids Designer Joe Simko, Hot Wheels Designer Larry Wood and MORE.

Cereal Killers! Love these boxes and stickers that combine our favorite monsters and cereal characters into 1. You can check these guys out at SweetRot.com and Wax Eye.

Below is some great collectables from the beloved Toy Shack booth. The store is located right in the heart of Fremont Downtown Vegas.

I was admiring these Batgirl and Poison Ivy Barbie dolls... kept in pretty great condition may I add.

I had a pretty rad time and will be adding more updates in a bit. I would attend the convention again personally and suggest other check it out too if you like to collect toys/action figures and want to mingle with some pretty cool people. I think the convention has great growth potential so I'm excited to keep up with it, Cheers!

Venom

Funko Introduces the Pop! Home Line.

I love Funko's POP! Toys and now... They're introducing POP! HOME.

Awesome right? I'm sure you've seen their vinyl figures around. Disney, Marvel, Movies, Heroes, TV, you name it, odds are they have it. Now they're breaking into what I like to call the "FUN home decor business" (~~fuck boring china~~). Anyway, they're using their POP! designs on mugs and salt and pepper shakers from what I can tell for now.

Coming soon they'll have spatulas, coasters, lanyards, pen toppers and more. You know what that mean!? Kitchen make over time bitches!

Who doesn't want a little Venom pepper on their pasta? You can rise and shine with a cup of Captain America joe. You see where I'm going with this?

Pop Goes The Nubia Covers New York Toy Fair 2015.

Get hype! The next few days I will be posting about New York TOY FAIR 2015.

You know TOY FAIR right? It's one of those places that makes you want to invest all your money on toys before it's even in your hands. It's that awesome.

Unfortunately I couldn't make it to New York at the moment... which totally sucks because I had a press pass and all BUT, never fear! My brother, the awesome Daniel Mejia is present and he's sending me some rad photos. All photography I post from Toy Fair 2015 is taken by him unless otherwise noted.
